![]() ![]() | The New Petzl I'D EVAC and STRATO Helmet 2019Friday, 7 December 2018 | Admin Petzl have a range of new and updated products for 2019, which include a new I'D and a Helmet. First up is the I'D: The Petzl I'D and I'D Large have both been updated just like the Rig was to include the stainless steel wear plate, which improves durability by reinforcing the rope friction zone.
it also has a new AUTO LOCK SYSTEM which allows users to easily position themselves at a work station without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device.
Petzl I'D Evac:
Here is the new Petzl I'D EVAC self braking descender which has been designed for lowering from an anchor. The ergonomic handle is specifically oriented for managing of a load from the anchor and offers comfortable descent control. It comes with the integrated anti-panic function and anti-error catch aswell as there new AUTO-LOCK system which has been mentioned above. Available to purchase in April 2019 Now lets take a look at the new Petzl STRATO Helmet and updated VERTEX Helmet: The STRATO and Vertex helmets have a CENTERFIT adjustment system which allows the helmet to be centered perfectly on the head by simultaneously turning both side adjustment wheels (this can be done even when wearing gloves).
They both also boast a new FLIP&FIT system which positions the headband in a lower position to make sure that the helmet fits securely on the head. The headband can be easily folded into the shell when not in use.
One of the main talking points of the new STRATO and Vertex Helmets is that It now has a DUAL chinstrap so you can switch the helmet to conform to either EN12492 or EN397, which is great as you now have one helmet that does two jobs
Uses:
Petzl Helmets come with an EASYCLIP system which allows quick installation of a Protective shield. All of the Petzl eye protection and face shield range have this feature.
You can get either helmet in either vented or an un-vented version Available to purchase in April 2019
