The first Petzl Rope Trip took place during October 5-7, 2012, at V.axess, Petzl’s official training center in Crolles, France. The goal of this challenge was to bring together rope access workers from around the world for a festival and the opportunity to share best practices and knowledge with peers. It's been a long time coming but Petzl are set to release the Petzl Maestro, which is a descender designed for technical rescue operations. It facilitates manipulation of heavy loads, for lowering or hauling, and may be used in both the primary system or in a back-up belay.
Last year Petzl released the Petzl Astro Bod Fast Harness which replaced the popular Petzl Avao Bod Croll Fast Harness. They have now released the Petzl Astro Bod Fast in there International version, which we will take a look at and go over the differences between the International and European versions.
