![]() ![]() | A look at the Petzl Astro Bod Fast International HarnessWednesday, 22 May 2019 | Admin Last year Petzl released the Petzl Astro Bod Fast Harness which replaced the popular Petzl Avao Bod Croll Fast Harness. They have now released the Petzl Astro Bod Fast in there International version, which we will take a look at and go over the differences between the International and European versions. Dorsal Attachment Point Fall Indicator The international version has a fall indicator on the dorsal attachment point, a red strap appears on the dorsal attachment point after a fall to indicate that the harness should be retired from service. Lateral Attachment Points The Astro International version has metalic side attachment points instead of the textile side attachment points with plastic inserts which allow for easy connection of equipment and can be folded down to prevent them snagging when not in use. Shoulder Buckle and Lanyard Parking The International version has a releasable shoulder buckle which makes the harness easier to put on and take off and also has parking loops for storage of a lanyard which will release should the lanyard get caught. Wider Webbing And Different Leg Loop Buckles The Webbing on the International version is wider then it is on the European version, also the leg loop buckles are different from the European version to comply with ANSI Standards Both the Petzl Astro International Harness and Petzl Astro European Harness are available to order.
